Tudor group

Arabella is sitting at the front of the group. She wears a lilac pine silk kirtle, with self embroidery, and a rich blue velvet overdress with "turn-back" sleeves lined with rose silk. The overdress is trimmed with pink/blue/lilac braiding and round her waist Arabella wears a "jewelled" sash (pearl and black bead with a jewel "dangle"). She has lace stockings and felt slippers. Her french hood is matching blue silk velvet, trimmed with heavy braiding and pearls.

Behind Arabella is Nurse Kat who is carrying Master Henry, the son and heir. Nurse Kat wears a black spotted kirtle and overdress with seagreen cotton lined sleeves. Her french hood is black velvet with a small amount of beading across the band. Young Henry wears a long white gown trimmed with guipure lace and a matching lace trimmed bonnet.

Mary and Francis are the pround mama and papa. Francis is a woollen merchant and wears cream woollen hose breeches over cream woollen knee hose trimmed with a garter on his left leg below the knee. He has felt and beaded bootees. He has a white cotten undershirt with a lace soft ruff and lace at the wrist. His tabard is grey green pure wool tweed, very fine and smooth, trimmed with black braid and "black work" embroidery. His overjacket is made from reversible black and gold silk jaquard and has turn-back sleeves, and is trimmed with gold and black braid. He wears a velvet beret, beaded and embroidered and also a black sash with a felt "purse". The jacket, tabard, purse and hat are all removeable. He also has a red and blue "codpiece".

Mary his wife wears a caramel watered silk kirtle with a tungsten velvet overskirt with gold silk lined turn-back sleeves. The overskirt is trimmed with black cotton guipure lace and she wears a pearl and bead sash, which has a tapestry purse hanging from it. She has a guipure lace soft ruff and her English "snail" hood is made of the same velvet as the overdress. The hood is trimmed with a braid band and heavily encrusted with pearls.
